About St. Anthony's Restaurant

Introducing St. Anthony's Restaurant is easy because it feels like the kind of place you want to tell friends about the moment you walk in. Located right along 22 Lumumba Ave in Kampala, this restaurant blends a relaxed neighborhood vibe with the energy of a spot that knows how to keep people coming back. When I talk about St. Anthony's Restaurant, I usually start with how welcoming it feels, whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or settling down for a long, unhurried meal. The seating options make it flexible too, with comfortable indoor tables and outdoor seating that works perfectly for sunny afternoons or breezy evenings. Service is clearly designed for real life, so you can dine in, grab takeout on the move, or use delivery and no-contact delivery when staying in sounds better. The menu is where conversations really pick up, because it covers a lot of ground without feeling confusing or overdone. You’ll find halal food alongside vegan and vegetarian options, which makes it easy to come with a mixed group and still have everyone happy. I often mention the small plates and quick bites for casual visits, but there’s also an all-you-can-eat option when you’re truly hungry and ready to settle in. Drinks are handled just as smoothly, with coffee for daytime catch-ups and a solid selection of beer, cocktails, and other alcohol for evenings that stretch a little longer. What stands out most to me is how organic dishes sit comfortably next to familiar comfort choices, creating a menu that feels thoughtful rather than trendy. St. Anthony's Restaurant manages to feel approachable without being boring, lively without being overwhelming, and consistent without losing its personality, which is exactly why it fits so naturally into Kampala’s dining scene. From first-time visitors to regulars, the atmosphere encourages easy conversations, shared plates, and relaxed moments that feel spontaneous, familiar, and comfortably unforced.

Best prepared local dishes around town. It's an upscale restaurant, can cater for families, corporate engagements, solo & couples. Food is always available & served with a professional touch.

Very good place for local Ugandan food. It is a quiet oasis in the bustling city of Kampala. Very central location, near many commercial areas. They have a delicious fruit juice cocktail.

Very delicious meals but the waitresses seem to be tired. They are always unavailable for the 3 times I have been here. Customers here but no one to attend to us

St. Anthony's location is ideal for a quick lunch meeting during work hours. The menu is extensive of all local fishes from central Uganda. The quantities are worth the amount and I can categorise the food as in the "healthy" range as it's mostly boiled and steamed food. Highly recommend!

Good place to try local Ugandan food. Portion size of the items was more than sufficient. Multiple options for vegetarian visitors as well. I ordered vegetarian and it met my expectations.
